Go Hogs Go

Ziva needed another taggie cause it is very difficult when hers is being washed. I decided to make her one and thought the best taggie ever would be a Razorback Taggie. I had enough material to make two. The second one will be on it's way soon to Ashlen Cate. She doesn't have a taggie and her parents love the Hogs. So it seemed like a perfect fit! Let's hope she likes it.

Abi's Quilt

I had made the top of this quilt a couple of years ago. I bought a kit for making a "crazy quilt" on sale to see if I liked making one. Once done I realized that I did not know who I would give it to. It's a smaller lap quilt or large baby quilt but the colors are not ones popular for adults nor baby rooms. So it got tucked away. Then I when I visited the Darrows once we moved back to the Deep South and got a glimpse of Abi's room. Orange walls. Purple, pink, orange and lime bedding set. I knew then the quilt had found a home. I bought the brightest orange fabric for the backing and then got to quilting. I did not quilt it the typical way. I tied yard in the corners of all the squares. This has a name but I don' t want to look it up. Then I added beads, 'cause what 10 year old girl doesn't like beads?
